Knowing the dates and deadlines is always key to preparing and submitting the Declaration with peace of mind. This 2024, as a novelty, we have gained days compared to last year for its presentation.

 

So it's time to open the calendar to write down a couple of dates and have plenty of time to get all the documentation ready, as well as look for invoices that can reduce the possible final payment.

 

The official calendar for the 2024 Income Tax Return is:

 

Presentation start date (online – walk-in): April 3, 2024

 

Presentation start date (by phone – by appointment): May 7, 2024

 

Presentation start date (in person – by appointment): June 3, 2024

 

Deadline for submission (all modalities): July 1, 2024

 

As indicated on the Tax Agency website, to obtain an appointment you must request online or by telephone between April 29 and June 28.

 

🤑 Financial tip:

Filing the Declaration in the first days has advantages. The review process is usually faster because most people wait until the last minute. This is especially beneficial in cases where you go out to return, since the payment will most likely be received shortly. To do this, of course, the accounts must be well done so that there are no discrepancies.

 

The other deadline if you prefer to direct the payment. 

 

If you are one of those people who chooses to make the Declaration on your own and want to direct the possible payment, remember to submit it before June 26. Because? In between it takes a weekend and, as you know, some transfers can take up to two days. So to avoid payment not being made on time and other problems, it is advisable not to rush beyond that day.
