The impact of offering Wagestream

Neena Jivraj Stevenson, Chief Culture Officer at Queensway, shared her insights on the company’s adoption of Wagestream’s financial wellbeing platform. This initiative aligns closely with Queensway's commitment to its core values and employee-centric culture.

"Employee wellbeing is really important to us at Queensway. Our culture and values are a really core part of how we do business, and that really starts with how we treat our teams."

Neena emphasised the importance of empowering and supporting employees to thrive, which benefits both the individuals and the business as a whole. Addressing financial literacy and destigmatising discussions about money were critical factors behind implementing Wagestream.

"It can be really difficult to talk about money, and it can be really difficult to talk about when you're struggling with money."

Since the rollout of Wagestream, 63% of Queensway’s employees have enrolled, and 93% of them have actively used the app to track their wages and shifts. Neena noted the importance of providing tools that empower staff to take control of their finances and explore unclaimed benefits.

"Almost 100 people have made an inquiry to understand more about their rights in terms of benefits."

Additionally, Queensway introduced a coaching feature to provide personalised support, reflecting their genuine commitment to employee welfare. Neena highlighted the significance of tailoring solutions to individual needs.

"There's no one-size-fits-all approach to wellbeing, and having a diverse range of offerings really means that people can take whichever parts of it matter to them."

Through initiatives like Wagestream, Queensway is demonstrating how businesses can create meaningful impact by prioritising their people’s financial and personal wellbeing.
